About Kaylite Zambia

Kaylite Zambia is a Lusaka-based manufacturer of insulation products. Our range covers expanded polystyrene and polyurethane products: sandwich panels for cold and freezer rooms, mobile and permanent prefabricated buildings, and products such as seedling trays and cool boxes.

Our first sandwich panels came from a simple request: potato growers asked us to supply cold room panels locally. Those panels were being imported from South Africa, with more than half the cost tied up in transport.

We were already making the expanded polystyrene that forms the core of the panel, so we invested in the machines to apply the steel outer skin. Prefabricated buildings followed, made from the same panels.

We have added machinery as the market has asked for new products, most recently a polyurethane sandwich panel line. Setting up from scratch means we run current equipment, including energy-saving technology, and use virgin raw materials from reputable suppliers, supplemented with recycled material.
